I make scones every Sunday along with bacon and scrambled eggs or eggs scrambled with lox. I serve the scones with barely whipped cream (almost like your clotted cream it is so softly whipped) and raspberry jam. Scones are a real tradition in Boston. And we drink A LOT of tea. In fact, we are so serious about our tea over here, that I believe we started a bit of battle with you guys over it, if memory serves me.
Yes, I love the taste and texture of fish, even plain. Pan fried seabass is beautiful, salmon en papillote is awesome, just with light seasoning and some rosemary....mmmm....
I've always wondered what other nations stereotypes of the English are.
I've just noticed that Boston is on the same latitude as where my uncle lives.
I love scones...
Btw, where does your uncle live?
Salem, Mass. is also where they had the Witch Trails - yeah, alll of those young girls nbanding together and having seizures [fake] and pulling their hair and vomiting and pointing fingers and sayineg: 'yes, yes, yes, she has put a spell on me, possessed me, made me do terrible, evil things... Interesting, it was later observed that theses were 'Pubescent' Girls. It was stated this had something to do with that.
By the way, is this 'off topic'?
Of course, women can get away with anything as long as they are PMS'ing.

The name of the thread is "RANDOM BACK-TALK/Off-Topic Discussions", so off topic is on topic and you've created an oxymoron. But then, the moron would have to be involved in anything you create though, doesn't it?
I am just picking, please take that un-literaly. Who loves ya baby!

If you find that you and another member(s) are really going mad off-topic, this is the place to take your off-topic discussions, just so we don't clutter up threads with a lot of random back-talk!
Nobody is going to flip out if you don't do this but if you find that you and another/others are going off on an extended personal/unrelated tangent, then you might want to shoot it over here.*****
Just a note. No one has complained to me about members going off-topic.
You can blame me alone for this! I just thought it was a fun/courteous idea. If most of you don't like this idea, speak up and I will remove this thread.

Why does Mumbles troll the same forum he moderates? It is entertaining in a way, maybe that's his goal. He just picks a story out the news and blames it on the Prez, lol.

Mumbles is still a moderator even though he didn't change it to show under his name. Here is a dialogue that went between both of us just the other day. He apparently is just deleting anything he doesn't like or agrees with.

no. he was going to far, getting real nasty. the post is deleted. we are in public. if you and he want to exchange obscenities, racial hate speeh, etc. you can do it to each other in private and the 2000 people viewing this site don't have to see.
Me
I couldn't find anything from Galaxy..the last time he posted was in January.???????
Mumbles
yeah, sorry. turn out his post was 1-8. i was just looking at new post on a thread where people were arguing and backed up to see what it was about and saw his rude post. sorry, i wasn't watching the dates. if i had realized it was so old, i wouldn't have mentioned it to you.
if you do see anything out in public on a current thread, even if its old, it can still be corrected. there just was no moderation for months but spam is easily under control now, so no reason to leave pile of poop out where everybody has to see it everyday.

I been trying to figure that out myself, I heard you guys saying they had 4 new ones, I wanted to see who they were. I cant find any link that identifies who the mods are.
I will say this, they are doing a good job of keeping the spam and other garbage off the site, whoever they are.
Go down to the bottom of the main page at scam and click "view forum leaders" http://scam.com/showgroups.php
HEY, L and P!
I just figured out how to see the current list of Mods, any time you want to check, since it could change anytime. Go to scam dot com, then scroll to just under the list of all the forums where it says:
"Mark Forums Read View Forum Leaders".
Hit that and it takes you here:

You're such a smart lady.

I always liked bibleman, L. I don't know the others, but bibleman was always a fair, level headed guy.luciano wrote:CarolinaHound wrote:luciano wrote:HotParadox wrote:Hey, L. Cupcakes
I would love to try some of your recipes, especially since you have lived in Wyoming and Utah, both states which I absolutely love. I worked in Utah and it's gorgeous, to die for. Plus you are originally from Idaho or something? I love regional recipes.lisan24 wrote: Oh, I did get your PM HP. Thank you very VERY much! I'm going to try them out today.
I'm posting some of my family's favorite recipes in the recipe thread. Most are deserts, I have one breakfast item as well though.
You are the only person I have ever given that recipe to.
