The Blues thread
Just like Andres rock thread, only different
Two to start with- one acoustic 5 finger picking style and one electric

Re: The Blues thread
This has a blues feel to it. From a good band originally from North Carolina.
Don't Walk Away- Firehouse
Girl, you and I've been together
For as long as I can remember
We've come too far to throw it all away
But you tell me that you're leavin'
Oh and I just can't believe it
You know I'd do anything if only you would stay
So if you love me, then don't leave me
Don't throw it all away
Baby, I'm beggin' you, please
Chorus:
Don't walk away
(Well) Don't leave and break my heart
(Well) It hurts because I love you and it's tearin' me apart
Never too late to say we're sorry and try another way
I'm down on my knees, I need you baby
Don't walk away
Now we've both done things that we regret
We could learn to forgive and forget
We'll make it better, give it another try
Baby, don't give up, don't give in
Walkin' away won't solve anything
There's nothin' that I wouldn't do to keep you satisfied
So if you love me, then don't leave me
Don't throw it all away
Baby, I'm beggin' you please

Robin Trower - Day of the Eagle
I saw a light just up ahead
But I couldn't seem to rise up from my bed.
I'm not alone - but then I am ....
Some people seem to think I'm superman
But I watch for the love.
I'm living in the day of the eagle,
the eagle not the dove
It's like a weight that brings me down
If I don't move, I'm on the ground.
It's in my mind, it's in my soul.
It's telling me the things I can't be told
It says, "Watch for the love ...
Living in the day of the eagle ... eagle, not the dove."
Another day, another night.
I want to love, they want to fight.
I need the time, I've got to be alone.
I've got to think it over on my own.
But I'll watch for the love ...
Living in the day of the eagle ... eagle, not the dove.
Re: The Blues thread
This is kind of in that crossover area between blues and rock, but I have to post it. This is one of those songs I spent years trying to figure out how to play right. I love finding vids that show the fingering and picking. I wish there were youtube videos like this then, things would've been alot easier. The song sounds great with just guitar and bass.

Re: The Blues thread
The wifey and I are big fans of Otis
TJ, I want to share a great site with you, you may know about it already, it's called www.pandora.com, you put in a name of an artist you like and they will create radio station of that artist and artists similar. My "Otis station" is awesome, muddy waters, Al green, Wilson Pickett, etc. all show up on there. Give it a try if you like to listen to tunes while you surf the web, depending on your cell phone you might be able to put it on there too.

Thanks! Pandoras very cool. Have you tried playlist.com? You can search for songs online and build your own online playlists, no hogging space on your computer.luciano wrote:TJ, I hope you dont mind, but I took the liberty to email you a link to my "Otis Redding Radio Station" on Pandora to your yahoo account. Re: The Blues thread
Hey all,
If you are ever looking for some new, smokin' Blues talent...Check out Nobby Reed (The Nobby Reed Project). He's local Vermont talent and has been around for decades...I do not think he has any vids, but I haven't checked out utube yet, I know he has a couple of live/studio cd's out...Next time I catch him, I will ask for permission to film him, and I'll post it myself, but actually probably not this month...Sorry for the tease

Re: The Blues thread
I was checking it out earlier and thank you, I think I have finally figured out how to put music on my wife's myspace page. Always wondered how people did that.thomasjay wrote:Thanks! That reminds me of the movie "Crossroads". Have you ever seen that one? I'm gonna go find the end battle with Steve Vai. It was a good movie .
