I would like to extend a welcome to ThomasJ (Tom), who I invited over, and who signed up this morning.

Great fella to have on any forum, as he really knows his stuff, in a number of areas.

Will be good to see him posting on here, and mixing it with some of the other members.

Basically, Tom is a historian, and someone I have debated with, sometimes furiously, in the past.

He agreed to sign up and drop in on this place.

On one thread, he seemed to take objection to something that another member posted, or the method that was used to post it, and was maybe a little pugnacious toward the member.

He IS a good fella, if a bit fiery, but maybe he felt that having been on forums before, he and the other member would just be like oil and water, and he couldn't be bothered getting into all of that.

One of those things, I suppose.

People will come, and they will go...

Yes you can post (no porn.. dang it Twisted Evil

) There's some buttons at the top of the posting thingy one of the is for posting images. A box will pop up, just paste the image address/link in it and click ok. If the image already has the [ img ] at the begining of the link and [ /img ] at the end I think you can just paste all that into your post and not worry about the button.

Oh and there's a button for hosting images, not sure how it works or if it does or not though.

yep seem to work just click host image and upload it and paste the url into the post.
