Re: The Origin of Species
Nice. I didn't realise the whole thing was available online.
I have a copy sitting on my bookshelf, but I've never read it cover to cover. Darwin goes into enormous detail and is very meticulous. He was, after all, proposing something very radical, and he predicted the backlash it would generate (although I can't imagine he would have predicted it would still be going on today). It's certainly interesting to read for historical purposes, it's one of the most influential books ever, but for the purpose of actually learning about and understanding evolution, I think Dawkins does it better.

Re: The Origin of Species
I just happened across it. The whole site has some pretty interesting stuff. I'm giving it a go at reading it. But I got to be honest, for a fella that likes to write as much as I do... I aint much on reading. And to be honest again.. It don't look like there's gonna be any vampire battles in it.

Dawkins. I've read "The Blind Watchmaker", but I've heard "Climbing Mount Improbable" is better if you don't know much about the basics.
