Why is there nothing on at 5:30am?

Why am I awake?

I have nights llike those myself sometimes. Nothing helps. Not reading, not eating, not reading, not watching tv or even the warm familiar body next to you in bed is not enough. Seems we are all more restless these days doesn't it? Sometimes, just to go stand outside alone and breath the early morning air, take in the sky and try to shake off the world a bit, helps a little. That and waiting for a new distraction or for sleep to finally come.

I know you weren't and I agree. Bloody rain. It's been raining since 11pm and it's now 6am...rubbish.

What's in California?

Well, the weather. (I just had to say that lol) Otherwise, the state is bankrupt, or close to it. And most of my family is here and it's been my homebase forever. I grew up here and have ventured everywhere around the globe most of my life and always came back. It is my home for better or worse. And, there is the crazy Italian that sleeps next to me when I finally climb back into bed. And there is the sea. And my dog.
