Nope, lol, carry on as usual OT! She is a temp mod of all the forums, sooner or later when I figure all this out I'll probably have a few mods, 1 for each of the forums depnding on how much we need them there may be more. I have to work for a few days in a row so I needed to get someone on here as a mod just in case the forum needed it.

Post by Theophilus Fri Jan 16, 2009 12:31 am

Well after my vote on spam.com I mean scam.com I had said the panthers would win the super bowl. So now I am going with the underdog in this. Arizona.

Though they had some bad game at the end of season. Their defense has really stepped up. They truly have a a lot of talent on both sides of the ball.

Though that being said. I did pick the panthers to win.

They had a great running game and a good defense. Shame the coaching staff didn't stick with what got them in the playoffs.
How many picks were given away by the panthers. I think five, or at least I lost count at that point.

Yep, I just picked Pitt, but I actually think Arizona has enough momentum to upset any of the other three teams left.

Post by luciano Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:15 pm

Im kicking myself right now, I could of got 2 tickets to the game today in the North Endzone of Heinz field for $700, but I just couldnt justify spending that much cash on it. These are great seats too, I had them once this year(Bengals on Thursday night football) and it was awesome, I could yell at the Bengals players in pre-game and they heard all of my childish comments. Very Happy But I only paid $152 for that game(2 tickets, $76 face value)

Damn the economic crisis!!!!

And now some shameless promotion of my team: Laughing

There have been 43 AFC Championships after today's game. The Pittsburgh Steelers will have appeared in 14 of them, they have a 6-7 record in these games. The Steelers have appeared in 6 Super Bowls and have a 5-1 record in these games.

Super Bowl MVP's

* Super Bowl IX - Franco Harris
* Super Bowl X - Lynn Swann
* Super Bowl XIII - Terry Bradshaw
* Super Bowl XIV - Terry Bradshaw
* Super Bowl XL - Hines Ward

The Steelers have 22 members of the organization inducted into the Pro-Football HOF, with one extra, Myron Cope, who was the radio announcer of Steeler games from 1970-2005, he is also the creator of the "Terrible Towel". He passed away last February, RIP Myron. Yoi!!

He gave many Steelers their famous nicknames such as Jack "Jack Splat" Lambert, Kordell "Slash" Stewart, and he helped turn Jerome "The Bus" Bettis' nickname huge. He is now nationally recognized as "The Bus" everywhere. In Pittsburgh people call the Bengals the "Bungles" and the Brown the "Brownies" because of Myron.

In Pittsburgh, many people turn the sound down on the television and listen to the radio play announcers. Not as much though since Myron retired.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myron_Cope

In the last 40 years, the Steelers have had only 3 head coaches(Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin)

We, the fans make up the Steeler Nation!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steeler_Nation

In a little less than 5 hours, my town will be a ghost town, almost every business will close its doors to go home and watch the game or head to a party.

Here we go Steelers........Here we go!!
