Anybody else into collecting comic books?
I used to back in the late 80's then sort of got out of it. I pulled my old ones out the other day and started reading them. I'd been wanting to get them put in bags with backing boards so I ordered some, before I knew it I'd ordered some comic books. lol
I only have about 180 left from my old collection. Thought I'd share some comic book cover joy.

I used to collect comics. One of the last series that I did collect was Aliens vs. Predator.

Re: Anybody else into collecting comic books?
In the 90's I collected a good amount of them.
Have not bought any in years.
Though I like the comics I do have, and it is fun to go and re-read some of them from time to time.

I've always loved em. If you take care of them they tend to go up in value.

Right now I am working on building a set of Lincoln pennies. I currently have the best top of the line coins from 2009 to 1957 and thatw includes all gem proofs. I hope to finish the set in two years. Then I will start building a set of full step Jefferson nickles.
What is the year, mint mark and approximate condition.

I really don't know, I think they're 1886, but I can't remember. Wouldn't really even know where to look for the mint mark, and they're in dirty condition so they've been circulated. I'll have to dig them out and take a look at them.

Here is what a top of the line coin looks like. Your dollars are called Morgan dollars . The mint mark is on the reverse side under the eagle. Look for the small O under the eagle and tehe wreath. There are only two types ofr 1886 morgan dollars. A plain , no mint mark and the S mint mark. the S mint could be worth a few dollars depending on it's condition.

Re: Anybody else into collecting comic books?
I didn't see an S, but these are them..
I got a few from 1922-23 too...
I also have a few of these half dollars from the 1940's...
They aren't in all that great of shape, they're just some Mama had held on too that had been circulated. Those half dollars look like they were circulated a lot.

Yes the 1878 does have an S mint mark. Unfortunatly they would have to be in almost uncirculated condition for top dollar. They do have some value. You might want to have a dealer give you an estimte on them for their value.
If and when I am able to buy this coin, it will be my most expensive coin.
1909 S VDB Lincoln Cent in MS-63 Condition $2,495.00
