Democrat, Republican, Independent/3rd party UserGroups
Ok, I wanna try something out here. I have made 2 new Usergroups, the "Democratic Party HQ" and the "Republican Party HQ" and I have also made two hidden forums, one for each, that the members of these groups will be able to post in. Only members of the group and admins/mods will be able to post in the "HQ" forums. Im thinking about making it so everyone can see them but only members of the group can post.
I figure once these groups get enough members, they can elect their own leadership(they will have mod power over the group forum and review group membership requests), be a self-sustained little forum of just republican only or democrat only discussion. The only rule I want is you can only be a member of one of these groups. If you want to change, you got to be accepted by the new HQ's leadership, and asked to be removed by the other group first.
I figure once each group has 10 members they can start talking about holding elections, and writing their by-laws. Like how long the group chairman can serve in the post before new elections are held, etc. Its up to you as a group. Right now, I(admin account) am the designated group moderator for both of them. And I think I gotta approve your membership, I have no criteria for who joins, you guys can do that once you have your own leader elected.
Also, once you join this group your name will change to either a red(GOP) or blue(Dem) color.
Id also consider adding a Independent/Other 3rd Party Group if people are interested. Im a registered Independent and would join
Well anyway it can be a fun experiment I think. I might add some other types of groups if people want them, it doesnt have to be political.

If anyone requests to join the two HQ forums, maybe write a quick post in here, it doesnt give me any kind of alert that someone has requested, so maybe just let me know so I dont forget to let you in. Grim is in and thats why his name is in red.
Grim, you should be able to see the GOP forum now. Let me know.

Yea, deep purple. Cause really, us idependents are a little red and a little blue, but when we think... we're deeper. yea, dat's da ticket.
Re: Democrat, Republican, Independent/3rd party UserGroups
Ok I made the group for Independent/3rd party, just go to the legend(bottom of page), click the purple link(Ind/3rd party HQ) and join and I'll admit you, or just say your name and what party HQ you want in this thread, and I'll add ya manually.

Haha, Im an independent because when the lady asked me at the DMV if I wanted to register to vote, I said yeah and she said "what party"? I said, "what?". She said, "You wanna be listed as Independent until you can decide?" I said "sure".
That was 11 years ago when I was 18 haha. Guess I still havent decided.
And this election I was a true independent, there were 6 elections to vote on, I voted for 3 republicans and 3 Democrats. And every one of them won, amazingly.
Re: Democrat, Republican, Independent/3rd party UserGroups
hahaha, that pretty good. I guess I'm idependant cause I have to find anyone to vote for.

Bi-sexual? guess that explains it, I have always fantasised about having sex with two chics at the same time.

I shoulda known that, somehow-someway, you'd make a blatant dis work to your advantage.CarolinaHound wrote:HotParadox wrote:Independents are the bi-sexuals of the political world. Hey, what about those of us that claim no party what so ever. If that can't be done then make me an independent please

At 18 I registered independent on purpose. I'll remain that way until the United States gets more active 3rd parties. (So if you could pretty please with cherries on top make me part of the independent group that would flippin awesome... lol.)

Re: Democrat, Republican, Independent/3rd party UserGroups
I thought hard about this, but please put me into the republican group.
My core values are more in line with the old republican values of smaller government. It just seems that true republican values are more independant these days.
I'll hold out hope.
