E-mail hack
I just recently heard on the news the e-mail accounts from Yahoo, Hotmail and G-mail have been hacked and compromised. Peoples e-mail accounts and passwords were posted on line. It is highly advisable to change your passwords as soon as possible.

Re: E-mail hack
The way the jerks pulled this off was through a "Pfishing" scheme wherein they posted some sort of a fake information questionnaire baiting people into providing the email addresses, social security number, driver's license and the likes. It is really baffling why people fall for these scam schemes and more or less say "yeah, I want my privacy compromised.
Just last week I had someobody tell me that my mother who passed away in 1999 was shown on a unclaimed money site as having a large sum of money that was unclaimed. The thing is another scam bait thing where they lure people to provide money up front and other compromising personal information. There is nothing to their claim of unclaimed property and money being available.
There is information out now that especially since there is a high rate of unemployment and people are desperate for money, they are resorting to extensive means and resources to find "extra cash". This makes people prime targets for scam scum.
The best way to investigate regarding unclaimed property or money is through Federal Government sources, State Government sources, County and City sources. There should be no demand that a fee be paid and no request for personal information. Once a person makes contact, they will mail a form which is required to be filled out and returned. It typically is from and is returned to a person with Comptroller title, or the like.
Typically, when a person's email, identity or other such private material is compromised it is usually because the victim has somehow cooperated with these criminals in providing them the information they seek. They usually use people's greed factor as a chosen device to pull of their sceme, as with ALL scam schemes.
