Yea that should get the death penilty. But his lawyer will get him life or less because he didn't understand American Laws. I wonder though, what makes people think they can live under the laws of their country when they are in another?

Nah, he should be locked away and tortured daily.
It would take a few weeks to remove all of his skin one square inch at a time and by the time you got to the last square inch, the first would have nearly healed...Then you start all over again! and so on!

As much as I'd like to disagree... I'm afraid you're right. I'm certain there will be bewilderment... followed by anger... followed by "Oh, he didn't understand our laws! We shouldn't be so hard on him." And that will send a bad message to the community.
As rare as 'honor killing' is in the U.S. I'm surprised NPR was the only media outlet (that I saw) that covered this. (but why should I be surprised... )

No capitol punishment. He should be denied his virgins for as long as Earthly possible. If executed, he would die with honor, according to his beliefs.

Nah, I'd go for the capital punishment. But in all the years that the appeals are working their way through the system, have a non-fundie Imam teach him that there's nothing Islamic about what he did. It's just primitive barbaric tribal custom. No virgins for him!DM007 wrote:No capitol punishment. He should be denied his virgins for as long as Earthly possible.
