I have no knowledge of insects so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Is that related to or species of preying mantis? I always thought they were cool.

I have a compost pile for my garden. Never fails, every spring I start readying the soil for planting, but as soon as I get into the compost, a slew of grubs. Big fat ones. Well, the garden is forgotten till I run out of grubs. Bass love those things.
