OMG Football starts tonight!

I can't freakin' believe that pre-season football starts tonight...I can just smell the bratwurst and beer farts about to be released all over the country in celebration Anyway, I'm not (completely) done with baseball season, but my team dissapoints me (at the moment). I will watch none the less...And split my time between the sorrow and the joy...As it were... Also with the weather being so generally crappy and all...Why not have a fall sport to watch...

Well, if no other Boston fans are gonna do it...

Congrats Jim Rice!! Finally making the Hall of Fame...In the last year of his eligability...It should have happened a looooong time ago!! I met him and Freddie Lynn (the other half of the Gold Dust Twins) back in 1975-ish, at the Star Market in Newton Corner...They both signed my toe-to-knee cast...Now I could kick myself for not keeping it (at the time I could not see past the grudge I held against it, nor the stink) He was and is a truely nice person...And just think...No asterisk! Ok folks... As some of you may know, I was a swimmer in high school and college. I currently train for and race in ironman triathlons. So physically pushing myself is a way of life. Which brings me to this video. You don't have to be a swimmer to get a kick out of this. However if you were an athlete, it helps.
